Found a reference to this facility via Trip Advisor. It was the best price and highest rating for the location I needed for an overnight stay. Not being a chain hotel was also an enticement. VERY surprised at the facility upon arrival...the room sparkled clean and smelled the same. Everything worked as expected and the breakfast was by far the best free breakfast I've had with a hotel stay in years. I will make one suggestion...the hardness or softness of the hotel's water makes rinsing off the body wash supplied in the bath difficult...and the wash can make the floor of the shower slick. Friction strips are applied but could be increased.

I was in Des Moines to attend a funeral. Wildwood Lodge was comforting from the moment I entered. The “Minnesota Northwoods” decor was an immediate relaxing environment for me and the staff was very friendly. My room was large, clean, comfortable, and inviting with the low-light and comfy chair in the corner and the continuation of the Northwoods decor. I also enjoyed the step-in shower. The all inclusive breakfast was totally adequate and provided a variety from cereal, oatmeal, bagels, waffles to eggs , gravy and biscuits etc. I greatly appreciated that check-out was not until noon!

Complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt. Everything was spread across the lobby in an inviting manner. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The staff, Cameron, and then his mother the next morning were amazing! They were so hospitable, kind, and helpful! Whenever we passed them, they asked if they could help us. She offered to turn the outside fireplace on when we were sitting there with our coffee in the morning. It was a delight to stay there. Breakfast was excellent...there were so many choices!

From check in to check out the entire stay was perfect. Anthony and Jasmine were truly wonderful. The Manager and morning clerk, I apologize I do not know their names were the kindest Women. We went to spend time together as Teresa is very ill. We could not have asked for a better place to be to spend our time together. Your lodge and the staff made this vacation one of the most memorable and unforgettable we will have.

Everything.. I had a medical appointment in Clive .& Rena gave us a room on the back side 2nd floor . Very Very quite ... plan on staying there again ...it was a great staff to work ..had a small heater problem with the theroasat she took care of it ...with a Smile !...very nice .staff

The staff did above and beyond communicating with us, and they made my partners birthday extra special for her, we will be going back here again in the future for sure!

Breakfast was good. Lots of selection and nice hot dishes. Fire pit is nice to sit by and meet people. Staff was extremely nice and caring. Location is great because you don’t hear interstate noise. The area. Is safe to walk in. I like that we could walk to places to eat.lots of good area to meet friends and family to visit.

Good breakfast with hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs and other choices. I found the Wisconsin hunting lodge decor to be refreshing; quite different from usual hotel chain decor. (There are no offensive stuffed prey animals!) Easy parking, and short walk to several restaurants.
